Welcome to Red Hook Fishing
I hope you enjoy my site and the photos of some great days spent fishing in the Upper Florida Keys. The fish in these photos are a testament to my life on the water, as well as fond memories for me and my clients. I look forward to sharing one of these great adventures with you.
For those of you who have not fished with me, I hope that my web site will answer most of the questions you may have and give you an idea of who I am, my love of saltwater fly fishing and the excellent service that I provide for all of my clients.
I have had a fly rod in my hand since I was twelve, practicing the art of fly fishing and landing a great many fish in many amazing places. I have been guiding professionally since 2000. During that time I believe I have amassed a great deal of knowledge and skill that will help put you, the angler, onto fish, as well as show you some great places accessible only by boat. Please contact me with any questions.
Tight Lines,
Captain Adam DeBruin – (603) 380-0336
Overview of Services – I specialize in intimate fishing excursions in the Louisiana marsh for redfish October – December, with primary operations in the Upper Florida Keys. I welcome all levels of experience; from long term clients looking to find a heftier bonefish than in previous trips, to a first-time saltwater angler hoping to experience an instructive and fun day on the water.
These waters are home to a wide variety of amazing fish – Bonefish, Tarpon, Snook, Redfish, Sharks, Barracudas, Groupers, Permits, Jacks and the odd Hogfish to name just a few. You can see many of these fish in the Photo Galleries.
I am an USCG certified captain – I run my trips out of a 16 ft Hells Bay Biscayne with a 70 HP Yamaha and have all the required safety equipment.
No matter what your interest – you will have a great day enjoying the water and what the “salt” sends your way.

Captain Adam DeBruin
Adam’s life has revolved around fly fishing and fly-tying from an early age. He was winning competitive fly-tying competitions by age 12. His passion was further fueled while working at Eledredge Brothers fly shop in southern Maine – where he grew up on the water. The wind and tides carried him across the country to Northern California where he fished for wild west coast Steelhead and graduated from Humboldt State University.
Before Your Trip
The fishing day to day in the Florida keys can be extremely challenging for new anglers to the salt water environment.
I advise those coming to fish to become familiar with being able to double haul while casting to become quick and accurate to their target. Very importantly become proficient with a back hand cast! All practice and improvements will help you to take advantage of your opportunities on the bow and bring you success during your day! In my links page Ive added some links to some helpful videos on casting. Please check them out.
